A Wonderful Evening Of Music
Sarah Binns concert a resounding success
On Saturday 25th February, we were joined by singer, Sarah Binns, for a wonderful evening of songs from films and musicals. The evening commenced with a delicious pie supper, courtesy of Margaret Rothwell, before Sarah, accompanied by Craig Mann, performed twenty songs from a variety of films and musicals. These ranged from The Wizard Of Oz to Toy Story and from Oliver to Little Shop Of Horrors. The concert finished with Andrew Lloyd-Webber's 'Tell Me On A Sunday' before the audience rose to their feet and insisted on an encore, which came in the form of 'I Dreamed A Dream' from Les Miserables. Thank you to everyone who supported the concert, either in the audience, or behind the scenes. We were delighted to hear that the evening raised almost £500 towards church funds.
