Wharton & Cleggs Lane Church & Community Centre is a continually evolving community hub, which is home to a wide variety of activities, groups and fellowships. Our website provides a brief outline of what goes on at WCL, but we'd love to see you in person, so please feel free to join us at our Community Cafe during the week, or at 10.45am on a Sunday morning.
Message from the Minister:
Welcome to Wharton and Cleggs Lane Church and Community Centre. Our building is a busy place with a wide variety of activities taking place during the week alongside worship on Sundays at 10.45am, to which all are welcome.
This is an exciting time to be a part of Wharton and Cleggs Lane Church and Community Centre. With the new church now complete, we are very much looking forward to inviting people into a warm, welcoming and flexible space, where people can come together, across the generations, in comfortable and pleasant surroundings both to worship and to meet with others.
Our vision is to be a church in the community working with and alongside the community. Our hope is that the new and attractive facilities will enable us to further expand our community engagement and build relationships as we look to broaden the scope of our existing services through increased use of the building and gardens by community groups as well as through the work of our current volunteers.
At the same time, we look forward sharing our faith with others in a warmer and more flexible worship space, that offers us both the freedom to be more creative and diverse with our worship, learning and evangelism, and a wonderful opportunity to expand on the range of concerts and events currently enjoyed by both church and community.
Please do get in touch with us if you would like any more information about any of the activities that take place, or if you wish to talk about a baptism, wedding or funeral at the church. As minister of the church, I am often at the church on Tuesday and Thursday mornings if you would like to meet to have a confidential conversation or share any concerns.
As we seek to learn more about God's love for us and to share it in varied, practical ways, we extend a hand of welcome to all. We hope you will find something on this website which interests you and which you might like to become a part of, and look forward to meeting you.
God bless,
Sarah
