Quiz Night & Social Evening

On Friday 4th February, we held a Quiz Night and Social Evening in church, in celebration of the Queen's 70th anniversary since ascending to the throne. The evening commenced with a pie supper, provided by Margaret Rothwell, followed by a quiz, and concluded with some rousing choruses of Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory, I Vow To Thee My Country, Rule Britannia, and finally, God Save the Queen. Quiz topics ranged from TV themes, past and present, to events of the last seven decades, and even a round about the Royal family. Thank you to everyone who organised or supported the evening, which raised over £500 towards church funds.
